No reader of this document can possibly entertain reasonable skepticism about the authenticity of these minutes; they would simply be impossible to fabricate. For an extensive account of the authentication of these minutes, by multiple authoritative sources, see | http://wp.me/p45rOG-1tC.
The only question is what response there will be to such frank declarations by this increasingly militarized regime of:
[1] an explicit commitment to “starve,” by means of aerial bombardment,” the people of the Nuba as part of a genocidal counter-insurgency campaign;
[2] an explicit commitment to provide substantial, indeed strategically significant military equipment to rebels in South Sudan, thereby ensuring the prolonging of a war that threatens millions of civilians;
[3] an explicit commitment to crush ruthlessly and violently all political dissent of consequence throughout Sudan;
[4] an explicit commitment to manipulate and undermine regional efforts to negotiate peace between Khartoum and those areas long marginalized and now resisting the regime’s tyranny militarily;
[5] an explicit commitment to proceed along a path of profligate military expenditures and self-enrichment that ensures economic ruin for all of Sudan, including in the vital agricultural sector.
There is no ambiguity in this text, no possible doubt about what these brutal men intend as a means of retaining control over political power and national wealth.
The ambiguity, doubt, hesitation, disingenuousness, and expediency lie within the international community. The truth about the Khartoum regime is now clearly before all the world to see; many eyes will remain averted.
NB: update on status of Arabic text, 2 October 2014: http://sudanreeves.org/2014/09/29/arabic-original-hand-written-english-translation-of-31-august-2014-meeting/
I received on 22 September 2014, from a source within Sudan whom I trust implicitly, a truly extraordinary, indeed explosive document, containing the “Minutes of the Military and Security Committee Meeting held in the National Defense College [Khartoum]”; the meeting referred to took place on August 31, 2014; the date of the minutes for the document is September 1, 2014 (Sunday).
What makes the document so extraordinary is the participation of the regime’s most senior military and security officials, expressing themselves freely, and in the process disclosing numerous highly consequential policy decisions, internal and external. I have now posted the complete texts of both the Arabic original and an English translation by my source:
