On September 1, 2018 Al Jazeera (its “The Listening Post” program) aired a superb documentary overview of what Radio Dabanga has achieved in reporting on Darfur. It is not an overstatement to say that the documentary fully confirms the importance of Radio Dabanga in preventing Darfur from becoming a complete news “black box.” It is technically excellent, terrifically well edited, and important for anyone wondering why Darfur is no longer in Western news coverage, either print or broadcast. It is the second story in this edition of “The Listening Post,” beginning at Minute 13:00:
