A second album of photographs from a deserted Khartoum and Port Sudan, December 19, 2016

Despite skepticism in some reporting quarters, there can be little doubt about the success of the civil disobedience strike of December 19—this despite the mass arrests of human rights and civil society activists by the Khartoum yesterday (December 18, 2016) and previously.  The streets of Khartoum and Omdurman appear deserted, inactivity defines the day.  This is a second selection of the photographs that have come to me today from Sudanese following events closely; this second “album” will expand into a third as I receive more (first album at | http://wp.me/p45rOG-1Zx )
